PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING FRAUD AND IDENTITY THEFT
Unfortunately, our company has been experiencing fraud and identity theft.
Scammers have been both contacting us offering to sell a car that belongs to other private sellers or contacting private sellers in Germany claiming to be EV-Remarketing.
If you have a sales ad, please be aware, that if you are contacted by an interested buyer claiming to be EV-Remarketing on a German phone-number, you should hesitate to continue. This is not our procedure!
As a private person your first contact with EV-Remarketing will always be you going to our website and fill in information about your car, uploading pictures etc.
This procedure is the safest to avoid any form of scam.
THEIR METHOD
It seems like their method is to pretend that they are buying your car. You exchange documents and bank information. After receiving all information on both you and the car, they steel your identity by manipulating your Bankcard/IBAN-number. Finally, they try to sell your car in your name with all your information but not your IBAN-number.
NEW PROCEDURES IN EV-REMARKETING
We do safety-check and video conference with ALL our private sellers. In this way we meet you and you meet us before continuing the deal. Please be aware that none of our EV-Remarketing-employees will speak to you in German, but always in English. Also, we do NOT use German phone numbers, but only Danish. So, if you are in contact with a German phone number claiming to be EV-Remarketing, it is not us.
We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope you will share the information with your EV-friends to avoid future likewise incidents.
